Jade Down Under

I haven't written at all this week as I've been pretty busy in practicum.  I can't believe how quickly the week has flown by.  Unfortunately, I have not been teaching a full course load and it is the last week of the school term so there isn't full classes of students either.  That doesn't mean I haven't been exhausted!!  Last night I fell asleep at 8pm, was woken up by our loud speaker at 9, and then woken again at 9:20 when Liz called.  Luckily I was able to get back to sleep each time, waking finally at 6am this morning. 

It's Thursday night here which means it's rowdy in the area; bar nights run on Thurs/Fri/Sat and Tues.  I always shut my windows and turn on the air conditioner to block the noise but it doesn't always work, I hope tonight is not one of the nights where I am awoken by hollering girls. 

After this week I'll have a two week break (one at Uni, one on reading week) before heading back to prac. for another three weeks.  It looks like over reading week Liz and I will be heading with our friend Rachael to her parents house out in Cairns - her parents will be away so we'll get the place to ourselves and be able to explore the Daintree.  I'll post about that later if it goes through.

Anyway, not much else to say, just wanted to touch base.
