Whooooo, it's not raining!!! It's beautiful outside. So much for yesterdays weather predictions. Although it does still say we're supposed to get thunderstorms today right now is 29, feels like 34, and I have an hour before I have to sit in an air conditioned classroom. Luckily it's a really short day, only 2 hours!!! The excitement overwhelms me.
Liz and I went for an hour long walk yesterday (and of course I wore sunscreen, SPF 30) but I'm still getting a little colour. How's the pale Canadian skin coming in Canada? Also on our walk we saw some of the flooding around campus. You see, there is an underground tunnel, somewhat like the Pick Go, when you have to go to the far track. Anyhow, the tunnel had enough water in it that you wouldn't dare walk through it. This tunnel is the only way to get to the path Liz and I wanted to walk so we were out of luck. We ended up doing the same walk as yesterday (all asphalt, all the way) and it was a hot one. I ended up getting two blisters on my right heel.
This is the third day in a row where I've seen sun... I almost don't know what to do with myself. The downside is, my air con. is broken... soon to be fixed? I didn't sleep very well last night, tossing and turning, melting into my bed. I got up a couple of times to stand directly under my fan, this helped a little although as soon as I laid back down I could feel the sweat developing. I also had to use the bathroom a million times last night. You would think the amount I was sweating there would be no water left in me, but apparently not. Too much info?
So for today I hope the sun remains strong (should also help dry up the soppy land), and my air con. gets fixed. Oh please, let my air con. be fixed.
