Jade Down Under

I've been getting a couple emails wondering if I am okay. Thankfully, yes. The rain has not stopped, but Townsville is still safe and not under water. Canadians are hearing about a town called Ingham, which is 100 kms away from Townsville. The floods are insane, and their new worry is of crocs swimming into the town! There are people living out of the schools as so many homes have been destroyed by the water. It is very sad and is causing frieght issues but I have enough food to last me a while.

On the polar opposite you may also being hearing of Victoria, and the dangerous fires that are ravaging the land. Once again, Townsville is safe from these concerns, although we also are hearing of the devastation. The death toll is on the rise in Victoria, last I heard I believe it was over 100 people and many homes, pets, and workplaces have gone up in smoke.

Once again, I am safe, I am fine. I am hearing of these concerns on the radio and television with you all.
