Today was the last day of school for the week but it was a really short day, 3 hours. A couple of our presenters cancelled so it worked out well for us students.
Unfortunately we are having typical Townsville weather. This (being Friday) is the 5th day in a row where it has just rained. It's rather rotten as I have a 20 minute walk to class.
I stopped at the bookstore this morning and bought a poncho, all of Townsville is sold out of umbrellas, and it was a $3.00 garbage bag with arms. Literally, the plastic was the exact same. Liz, who walks with me, decided not to purchase the bright yellow, plastic covering and was absolutely soaked by the time we got to class. The worst part is our classrooms are heavily air conditioned so she froze through the morning. Luckily, our new found friend, Katie gave us a ride home.
Melissa and Noel have gone to the movies to see an elephant Imax and I am listening to the rain-a-pouring....
I do have readings to do for Monday so I'll probably start those soon. Tomorrow I will be headed to Billabong Sanctuary where you can hold all kinds of wildlife. I'm really looking forward to it.
Also, I have forgotten to tell everyone that I have apparently adopted some pets. Melissa and I were hanging out in my room yesterday when a little gecko crawled up my wall. We both kinda freaked and it ran into my closet - I haven't seen it since. But this morning I was talking to Jamie over webcam and a little baby gecko was hiding behind my computer. Again, I screamed and jumped on my bed. I've asked around and these things will hang out in my room with me; this is normal. They're good because they eat any bugs that can get in, but they're bad because they poo everywhere. GREAT! So far, no poo.
Any suggestions for names? One large, one small.... tell me your ideas. I figure I better make friends or else my vocal chords are going to take a real beating.

Loving your tails of travel. Shame about the weather, but I hope the warning I gave you was enough to prevent total sadness. In any case, your in my country now (well... Queeeeeensland isn't exactly that close from where I am, but its good enough) and Im glad to see another Vincent is experiencing it.
Have you got Skype? If you don't, I wanna see you download it soon so we can video chat.
Big love... Sean
