Christmas in over, New Years as well, and I'm down to only 19 days until I fly to Townsville. My cousin Sean, based out of Perth, Australia, has just landed from New York and will be staying with us for a couple days near the end of the week. I'm not sure what we'll do around here. Canada can be quite horrible during the winter - well, for me as I hate the cold.
I've almost finished packing (I'm well aware I still have 3 weeks left), I have so many clothes that I can easily pack what I want and have enough 'left overs' to last me until I leave. I thought I would find it difficult picking what clothes to bring, while also not bringing too much, but so far I'm doing okay. I have two luggage pieces, one large, one medium and both still have plenty of room. I'm only bringing 5 pairs of shoes, which includes flip-flops - quite shocking seeing as how I own so many.
I will have to pay a load of weight overage fees once I land in Brisbane as unfortunately my flight from Brisbane to Townsville only allocates 50lbs, while my International flight allows 100lbs. I'm trying to pack (somewhat) light but I don't want to get too crazy and then realize once I get there that I didn't bring enough!!
I'm anxious and ready to leave. Time will not go quick enough for me right now!

So the countdown begins! Only a couple of more weeks and 1 day of flying, until you are living the life down under.
I can remember getting a phone call from you about 2 1/2 years ago...its went something like this "Amanda, lets move to Australia!"
Under different circumstances (if i hadnt of just started a new job) you know i would have been on that plane with you, having the time of our lives.
Point... this is something you have wanted to do for a very long time and this is amazing that you get to fulfill this dream of yours.
In each of our lives we all wish and hope to live out and experience our life long dreams so no words can really express how happy i am for you that you are now able to do that.
You are an amazing person Jade and those Aussies will love you! Please promise me though that you will come back to us when school is over, not just cause we will have terribly missed you but we also have a wedding to plan as soon as you get back - (Relax people im talking about Kim and Jamie)
Anyway i wont turn this into a novel, but just know this will not be the last time you hear from me on this blog. Im officially becoming a blogger - only for you though my love.
Please take lots of pics and share them with us and i want to hear from you all the time.
I know we might not be "down under" with you for the next year but just know we'll be right
"up here" waiting for your return.
